Smash Tacos

You might already love smash burgers! Now, try the same concept but add a taco shell. Here’s a simple, crave-worthy recipe for smash tacos—crispy, juicy, and ready fast!


Smash Tacos
makes 8 tacos

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 works best)
8 small flour tortillas
1 packet taco seasoing

Optional Toppings:
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese
1/2 small onion, finely diced
3 small tomatoes, diced
Shredded iceberg lettuce
thinly sliced radishes
sour cream
guacamole
jalapeños

Directions:

1. Divide the ground beef into 8 small balls (2 oz each).

2. Smash the balls into the tortillas using parchment paper and a burger or grill press, spreading it thin to the edges. Season heavily with the taco seasoning

3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and wait for the surface to warm. Place the tacos beef-side down and cook 2–3 minutes until crispy.

4. Flip the tacos, add cheese, and cook another 1–2 minutes until tortillas are golden, beef is cooked through completely, and the cheese melts.

5. Top with your choice of toppings like diced onions, tomatoes, lettuce, radishes, sour cream, guacamole, jalapenos. Fold and serve hot.
